Station 527 - Part 2
After one month, an out of the country vacation and three outings with my friends. I have finally pushed through with the second chapter, I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I have enjoyed writing it.
------
After that harrowing experience at the Itos Building, I was finally out in the open. High-rise buildings of all shapes and sizes towered all over the area, and it didn't help that I was also being pushed back and forth by people pacing around.
A pang then hit my heart, I realized that I was truly alone. My kids are probably schmoozing with that annoying Van Itos, telling stories of shallow and pompous pursuits, it also doesn't help that their groupmates have probably left to explore as well. I then took a deep breath and sighed "Why can't I just have a fun trip without any obnoxious people to spoil it!" As I walked away, a strange man then tapped my shoulders, asking:
"So you're also a victim of Van Itos, huh?"
"Yes, yes I am!" I nodded furiously in response.
"Well, I have some amazing news for you-why don't you just follow me?"
My inner skeptic awakened as soon as he asked that question, after all-my parents had taught me not to talk to strangers-let alone join them!
"And why should I trust you?"
"Simple, Van Itos has ruined your experience here at Youtopia-but then, it can't be helped since the bullet train does stop directly at the Itos Building"
"What, so that means that we're in some wacky amusement park that mimics a virtual world?!"
"It's a bit complex, but yes-you and your friends seem to have come from Camp Camaraderie, am I right?"
"Yes, that's definitely where we all came from!"
"Good, this place after all is one of the Camp's best-kept secrets"
"And why the heck is this a secret anyway?"
"Well, strenuous physical activities do help out a lot-but trials do strengthen bonds-and that's why people leave the Camp with smiles on their faces"
"Okay, if it means splitting us up through a hoity-toity lady, then yes-you guys really helped our friendship a lot!"
"You know, you don't have to be that sarcastic"
"It can't be helped, I just want to trust you so I can save my friends and get out of this strange place at once"
The man then sighed "Just follow me, sometimes-great things happen because you decided to take that leap of faith"
"Fine, I will join you!" And soon, I quickly followed the man-we slid through the stairways like little kids playing around the slide. We pushed through piles of confused crowds, and zipped through the alleyways. Soon, the man led me to a strange store which contained a lot of random knick-knacks. He then excused himself saying:
"Just wait here, I'll give you the item that you need to save your friends from Van Itos"
And so, I did wait-and while I was doing that, I decided to have a look around the strange shop. There were books stacked over the tables while bottles with strange contents were standing alongside them. To be honest, I kinda prefer this over Van Itos' wares-at least they were sensible and useful. Soon, the man returned, holding an envelop in his hand,
"Here you go, young lady-a reward for your leap of faith" The man then handed me the envelope, but before I left the shop-he then told me:
"Just show that to your friends-and they will be broken free from Van Itos' spell. But I am warning you, please don't look inside the envelope-or the item will lose it's healing effect"
I then nodded and said: "Thank you kind sir, for helping me out"
He coyly smiled and replied "It's my pleasure-but I do thank you for taking that leap of faith. Not everyone would do the same thing that you're doing-and they end up being miserable, as their friends still act as haughty as Van Itos even after leaving this place."
"Oh my, is that true?"
"Well, the longer they wear those wigs-the more they absorb those negative thoughts, and we both know what happens when garbage goes inside one's system. Now please, go-so you can save your friends"
And so, I waved goodbye and quickly waltzed back to the Itos Building in hopes that those girls-I mean my kids were still around. After waltzing, pushing and sliding once again-I had finally arrived at the place where everything had started. Before entering, I decided to use the hair polish pump which was just posted beside the door.
To be honest, I wasn't surprised about that-I mean, Van Itos would rather care about split ends rather than dirty hands. And so, I placed a pea-sized portion unto my hair and combed it with my fingers. I then went inside the lion's den-luckily, no one was staring at me; from there, I saw one of my kid's groupmates and asked her:
"Have you seen my kids?"
She shook her head and replied "They left an hour ago, Van said that she would bring them to Akitopia-so they could buy new clothes and stuff"
"Thank you so much, and I'm glad Van's brainwashing did not work on you"
"Well, I decided to take it off-since pride feels good on the first try-but gosh, it feels gross in the end-so there you go.."
"Wow, that's beautiful, I guess I also need to go to Akitopia and hopefully, I could catch up to them"
"Good luck out there, and see you later."
"Yes, I will-and thanks" I then smiled back at her and left for Akitopia.

I can't believe this story will end up as a three-parter, oh well. I do hope you'll stick around for the third and hopefully, last chapter of Station 527!
