The power of prayer
In these challenging times, the Lord has reminded me once again that prayer is indeed essential (yes, even more essential than lugaw!) For the past few weeks, I have received news about loved ones and friends dealing with COVID-19 but the one that really stood out was when one of my dear friends was rushed into the hospital due to an emergency Feeling a sense of urgency and concern, I asked my mother if we could just give my friend a short prayer-and so, we did. Later on that same morning, around 11 am-my other friend (the one who sent me the news) updated me about her status, and I was glad to hear that she had no adverse results and will be sent home a few days later to take a rest. Here, my mother and I were so glad to hear that she's alright and I was also convicted as the Lord has shown me the power of prayer and faith, just like in the many Bible stories that I have read.
