You nurtured me, from seed to plant to tree.
You were with me in every step of the way.
Sometimes, I would falter and fall-but you helped me to rise up again.
You have given me toys, but as time passes, just being with you was my ultimate joy.
Even as the seasons change, your love for me stays the same.

Sometimes, I cannot reciprocate my love for you as the cares of this world would bog me down.
You would bless me with the words of a great man above, even if I am too deaf to even listen.
Despite all of this, you still continue to love me-even at my worst.
Now, time has passed and you have passed on.

Sometimes, I wish that I could have dug myself out from the cares of this world-just to be with you.
Sometimes, I wish that each and every moment we met would be filled with joy.
And sometimes, I wish that I could just mute out the noise so I can listen to your voice.

But now, everything we have is a memory.
You took a big part of my heart, as you went to that place where the great man lived.
