Nomads
All my life, I had searched far and wide for that place that I call home. But in all honesty, this thing I call home is not just a place where I can find refuge after a long day-no, it's more than that.
Home for me is that feeling that you are accepted and loved, irregardless of how flawed or scarred you aee. It is that place where you are always welcome, despite everything that you have done, after all-nobody is perfect.
Yes, I tried to find home in the solace of people-but in the end, we cannot find peace in them for long. I also tried to find that peace in myself, but it wasn't enough as I kept crumbling down in tears, realizing that I was still weak. After a few months, I realized that I cannot find home just yet, but I have found a piece of it through meeting a certain someone.
He promised me that He will bring me there, but there was a condition.
I had to give my full trust in Him, and despite all the struggles, I decided that this was the only way to get there, and it did work. I did have a taste of home when I went along with Him. As I walked along that path, I then realized why we cannot seek solace in the arms of another person, it is because in us-we all have the heart of a nomad, and with that instinct-people will always leave to find their home, but in the end-it is only through the one above that we can finally sate our nomadic hearts and find the place that we have been searching for so long.
